A demon’s appearance tells you almost nothing about its disposition. The thing appearing to menace Keiko might be quite benign.

Also, these are some of the authors and articles that informed this train of thought. Jung was obviously a big influence. The “feeding your demons” meditation gave me the idea for the structure of this story/text but I have not read her book or taken the class. So just an FYI and disclaimer there.
